WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
A fishing licence and a fishing permit are required to go fishing in Germany.
Having our fishing permit you are able to fish in all lakes and rivers listed in the waters register. To get a fishing permit anglers must present their fishing licence. You receive a fishing permit on each of our fisher yards, in fishing shops, in tourist informations and on campsites in the region. You can also order your permit comfortably via our online shop.
Beside the fishing permit you need a valid fishing licence in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The fishing licence (Fischereischein) is obtained on completion of the sport fishing exam. If you don't have one, you can buy a temporary tourist fishing licence in the tourist informations in the region (see right).
All year round troll and drift fishing is permitted on most of all our lakes (1observe area boundaries and exceptions). Tollensesee: valid for the period from the 1st of January to the 31st of April and from the 1st of October to the 31st of December. You need only a permission for troll and drift fishing to your fishing permit.
NEW: Having the weekly fishing permit for all waters (or all waters plus troll and drift fishing), the fishing in the angling ponds in Boek and Canow is included!
