Known today as "The Müritzfischer" label, it is the largest freshwater fishery in Germany with its modern manufacture and fish farming technologies. Traditional fishing, fish farming and aquaculture as well as a modern processing belong to the production profile. In recent years it was increasingly invested in the development of tourist offers. Thereby the tourist sector become more important within the company.
Something has been still preserved from the old romanticism despite the extensive modernizing. Even today the fishermen drive by the boats at sunrise and cast the nets.
The visitors can experience the special atmosphere at our fisher yards: the old trade in close touch with nature, but also the modern catch methods accompanied by quiet and relaxation in the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District.

- Company with limited liability, registered in the commercial register of the district court of Neubrandenburg under HRB 1078
- About 27,000 ha of lease waters in M-V are managed by the Müritzfischer
- Lease surface encloses about 90 single lakes and running waters and 10 fisher yards
- The Müritz, the biggest inland lake of Germany with about 117 km², is managed by the Müritzfischer
- Own processing equipment for deep-frozen, cooled, fresh and smoked fish production
- Distribution of products under the registered trademark "Die Müritzfischer". According to EU law, licensed company with the licence number D-MV-EFB 002
- Aquaculture (pond industry, channeling construction, basin construction, circulation construction) to breed the stock and food fish
- Fishing permit sale, angling ponds, angling tourism, fishing lakes, guided fishing, boat hire and holiday apartments at different lakes
